NanoSizerTM Extruders enable rapid extrusion of liposomes, polymerosomes, cell membranes, and colloidal suspensions. NanoSizerTM can be used in general nanoparticle sizing and filtration applications. Each extruder contains a single clean track-etched polycarbonate membrane. A range of pore-sizes is available: 50 nm, 100 nm, 200 nm, 400 nm, 800 nm, 1 µm, 2 µm, 5 µm, 1 µm. All other sizes may be available on request: contact us at Support@ttscientific.com. The advantages of NanoSizer extruders provides significant advantages for its users and it is compatible with Heat/Extrusion Block, our patent pending extrusion block allows firmly holding of extruder system in place.

1) What do I need to get started with extrusion?
Extrusion is easy with NanoSizer™ extruders. All you need is liposome solution, two syringes, and a NanoSizer™ MINI extruder. Heat blocks are also available for extrusion of high transition temperature lipids.
Each NanoSizer™ contains a Whatman (GE Healthcare) track-etched polycarbonate membrane.
3) What kind of syringes are suitable for extrusion with NanoSizer™?
NanoSizer™ extruders can be used with needle-tipped Hamilton glass syringes provided with other common liposome mini-extruders. For an improved experience, NanoSizer™ extruders accommodate single-use luer-lock syringes with a needle attachment: this means no cleaning of the syringe and no chance for leakage due to worn plunger assemblies. Both glass and single-use syringes are available at www.ttscientific.com.
4) What kind of needles are required for extrusion with NanoSizer™?
The needles provided with single-use syringes are 22 gauge, blunt (NOT sharp) needles, designed with an appropriate length for use with NanoSizer™ extruders.
